There are a few things you need to have before you can make a Winqual submission.
VeriSign
Apply for a VeriSign Organizational Certificate ID or a VeriSign “Microsoft Authenticode” Digital ID.
The certificate is required to establish a Winqual account and to digitally sign your driver(s).
See the Winqual website for information on how to obtain a VeriSign ID.
NOTE: Creation of the VeriSign Authenticode Digital ID can take up to 10 business days, so do this step first to avoid delays!
NOTE: If you already have a VeriSign ID, check to make sure it’s still valid.
Winqual
Establish a Windows Quality Online Services Account (Winqual Account) here.
This is the first time that you will need your VeriSign ID.
Microsoft Legal Agreements
Microsoft requires you to accept legal agreements before you can make any submissions. Check to make sure which apply to your product.
For example:
- Designed for Microsoft Windows Logo License Agreement (Hardware)
- Driver Distribution Agreement
- Windows Hardware Quality Labs Testing Agreement
